A magnificent pub set in the heart of New Malden. Rapidly becoming the focus of social gatherings in this vibrant SW London location
Ten intrepid souls set off from The GlassHouse for a two day excursion to Champagne to visit François Moutard in the south of the region and then back via Lanson in Reims. It was great to taste Champagne in the very fields in which the grapes are grown. Our favourite was the Champ Persin – a delicious 100% Chardonnay which tasted divine in the sloping hills of the Cote du Bar. Even better that we were drinking with the winemaker himself Francois Moutard, whose family has been making champagne for hundreds of years.
Bier, bier everywhere
The three day celebration that is Oktoberfest was a huge hit in the middle of October 2009. Fabulous beers and some brilliant German food and topped off with a performance by the Bavarian Strollers
More fotos. Apologies for the late arrival, due to pc failure and camera fatigue. But there are some great ones here.
A night of fantastic swing
Frank Sinatra came to New Malden and gave us 2 hours of himself, Bobby Darin and Dean Martin - all supported by the great Harry Dolan himself
A huge night - he will be back in town soon
